Why You Should Give Your Goals a 10 years Plan
Today’s world is very fast-paced, information moves within the split of a second same way we want to achieve all our goals. Globalization has happened to us and we are grateful for that, demystifying all the odds, breaking barriers, connecting diverse people across the globe. As a matter of fact, what is more, frustrating than slow internet?
However, this fast-paced mentality can cut into our personal life if we don’t watch it. We want to achieve our dreams overnight, we feed our eyes with other people’s success on social media and leave our minds with questions like God when? When will I make it? Some of us are either ready to cut corners or not willing to pay the price to success at all.
Oftentimes, someone else’s’ overnight success may have taken them up to two decades of hard work under their belt. They have years of unrivalled consistency, persistency and dogged resiliency before reaching such milestone. How do you want to get there overnight? please tell me
Here are some of the reasons why you should give your goals a 10 years plan;
- Prevents you from falling into depression; sometimes depression can creep in as a result of your personal failures and shortcomings.
- It gives you room to fall and rise again
- You become more experienced
- You have all the time to learn and un-learn
- Gives you room to try many things until you find your foot
- Gives you the grace to be patient with your own journey
- Eliminates silent and loud pressure from your life.
Do you have a project you have abandoned? Or you have one you are working on already, please give it a 10 years goal plan and watch it grow. Remember the grass is only greener where it is watered. water that seed in your care, it will definitely grow with time.
