Ebony life Flims producers of “wedding party “, enliven our Christmas with another block buster ” Chief Daddy ” written by Bode Asinyanbi and directed by Niyi Akinmolayan centres on the family of billionaire industrialist, Chief Beecroft.

Is this movie “Chief Daddy ” worth your time, popcorn and money ? find out as you read along,
For me, after seeing Veteran A-list , Nollywood actors and actresses in the trailer, it spurred my interest and I couldn’t wait to see this movie. Funke Akindele (jenifa) and Falz (Sege) in Jenifa’s diary if you are a fan, you know what I mean. These combo can make you laugh your ass out. Patience Ozokwor and Nkem Owoh in the movie was another must watch for me. I mean some of my favorites actors all in one movie.
The movie is a comic family drama, full of family rivalry, humor, disagreement , suspense and fun , of course the infusion of” owambe”, you know Nigerians especially Lagosians love to party.
The plot is an interesting one although there is a twist of the plot towards the end, I enjoyed the introduction of new interesting characters at different scenes, new surprises as each scene unfolds, quite captivating i must say. When you think you have seen it all, a new character is unveiled, which made the movie full of suspense. if I can predict a movie while watching then I don’t see any creativity in it.
The production, direction, setting, costumes and soundtrack was superb. Every character killed their role. It was an infusion of experts in their craft. Great job from the amazing crew.
My only disappointment was that I couldn’t connect the end, I guess there will be a part two because the end left audience lost.
One lesson to take home from this movie is that , polygamous family is always complicated because you cannot please everybody.
If you are contemplating on whether to see this movie or not, I will say go ahead , it’s worth it!
I know you were expecting me to write the story, lol . Go and watch it jor. *wink*
